Peru won three awards at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2021. Our country was chosen as World’s Leading Culinary Destination and World’s Leading Cultural Destination. In addition, Machupicchu was chosen as World’s Leading Tourist Attraction.

The prestigious World Travel Awards (WTA), known as “The Oscars of Tourism,” awarded Peru three recognitions in its global edition: World’s Leading Culinary Destination 2021, World’s Leading Cultural Destination 2021 and, additionally, Machupicchu was chosen as the World’s Leading Tourist Attraction 2021.
This is a great honor as the WTAs recognize, reward and celebrate excellence in all sectors of the global travel and tourism industry. Within the travel and tourism industry, they are the highest accolades a country can achieve.
These important awards continue to position our country as one of the most attractive worldwide, thanks to our unique combination of rich biodiversity, ancient history and culture, unparalleled cuisine, as well as the perfect destination for tourists seeking adventure and new and unique experiences.
